I found COTD back in 2009 and have been a fan ever since. The first song I heard from them was "Dead by Dawn" (what's your guys'?) I remember desperately searching for an mp3 of it, and finally found one on Limewire. It took me a while to seek out full albums from them because during that time I never looked for the albums of bands. I was pleasantly surprised by the sheer amount of genres COTD cycles through. I just recently discovered an album I had overlooked called Newave, apparently. I'm listening to it right now, and it's exciting to hear these new songs! I look forward to getting to know you guys, it's nice to know that such a diverse group of people enjoy their music. Here's my last.fm for those who may be curious: http:/last.fm/user/sevenheads

Thanks for the warm welcome guys.
newave is probably my favourite COTD album, so I'm glad you discovered it! It's definitely not one you'd want to overlook, it's pure musical beauty!
I think the first track I heard was "Good Morning", but what made me fall in love was "C/O/T/D". "Dead by Dawn" was also one of the first, though I didn't get hold of the Penguin EP 'til much later.
It's a hard vote between Yukari Telepath, Come Over to the Deepend, and Submerge being my favorites at the moment (I'm terribly indecisive). But I'm really liking what I've heard of Newave so far. So, we'll see. I can't believe I didn't know it existed. Ah, "C/O/T/D/" is a good song! I could see how that would be the one that attracted you to them. I had the luxury of getting into them when most of their discography was online somewhere. I'd really like to physically own the copies some day. My ultimate goal, that is probably unrealistic, is to see them live. :c
the first song i heard was "evil line" , "newave" is one of my favorites albums so far. so compact, btw.. 2009 was the same year that i started with this band
"Evil Line" is great. Ah, we started in the same year! Haha. I didn't even realize how long ago it was, I was surprised with myself. Cute avatar by the way, is that your cat?
WELCOME TO THE BOARDS, DREAMINSECT! Glad to know there are female fans out there!
Hello, thanks for the welcome! I didn't know if the male ratio outnumbered the female ratio, but glad to make you happy to see another female fan!
I heard C/O/T/D first back in '08. Been obsessed ever since. Welcome.
Ah, that's really cool! They're certainly a band that sticks, I couldn't help but want to discover all of their music and listen to them everyday.
